No trace of 2 abducted oil firm employees; Khandu says Govt monitoring situation


ITANAGAR, Jan 12: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday said the State Government has taken the reported abduction of two employees of an oil firm in Changlang district with “seriousness” and is monitoring the situation in coordination with the Army.
"Government has taken the reported abduction of two employees of an oil firm with seriousness. We are monitoring it in coordination with the Army," Khandu told reporters on the sidelines of a programme here.
“No official communication has been received so far regarding their release,” Khandu added.
PK Gogoi (of Assam) and Ram Kumar (from Bihar), both employees of Quippo Oil & Gas Infrastructure Limited, had been abducted by armed miscreants from a drilling site near Innao in Changlang district last month. Since then there has been no clue about their whereabouts.
