ITANAGAR, Jan 12: Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar today took stock of the pending land acquisition and forest clearance cases of various projects under the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in different parts of the State.
The pending cases of land acquisition and forest clearance were related to BRO’s Project Udayak in Anjaw, Lohit and Namsai; Project Vartak in West Kameng and Tawang; Project Brahmank in Shi-Yomi and Project Arunank in Upper Subansiri district.
Holding a video conference with the concerned Deputy Commissioners and Addl DGBR (East) PKH Singh, the Chief Secretary informed that 14 land acquisition cases/issues were resolved in recent months and asked the DCs and BRO officials to expedite and resolve the remaining land acquisition process in the same tempo by working in close coordination with each other. He suggested proper aerial-mapping of the land during the survey.
Commissioner (Land Management) P S Lokhande, Project Arunank Chief Engineer Brig A S Chonker, Chief Conservator of Forests V Reddy and officers of the Land Management department also attended the meeting at the CS conference hall here.
