DTFI meets on RI, Covid- 19 vaccination

YUPIA, Jan 13: The 3rd DTFI meeting on Routine Immunization (RI) and Covid- 19 vaccination drive was held at the conference hall of DMO, Yupia.

Chairing the meeting, Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu expressed satisfaction on the preparation of Covid-19 vaccination drive in the district. He cautioned all MO in-charges that since the Covid 19 vaccine is new there may be apprehension among the beneficiaries and hence proper education, management of AEFI (adverse event following immunization) etc should be properly planned and addressed.

In order to encourage vaccination among the frontline workers, the DC directed the DMO to provide conveyance for the ASHA/AWW residing in far-flung areas. He also appealed all stakeholders to cooperate and coordinate with the Health department to set a new trend.

Earlier, DMO Dr Komling Perme informed the house the number of trainings carried out at different blocks and number of dry runs/mock drills carried out at various facilities. He also informed that only one PHC was left for the mock drill.

Action taken report of the previous DTFI and future course of action was briefed by the DRCHO.

During the meeting, the progress on AB-PMJAY beneficiary verification in the district by ASHAs was also discussed. (DIPRO)
