ITANAGAR, Jan 13: Inching towards becoming Coronavirus-free, the State during the past 24 hours recorded a single fresh case and discharged four persons post their recuperation from the virus. As a result, the State’s active cases have further declined to 58 as the total recoveries surged to 16,669. The COVID-19 has also claimed 56 lives so far, out of a tally of 16,783 confirmed cases, according to a bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services here this evening.
Itanagar Capital Complex reported the single new case, which turned out to be symptomatic.
On the positive side, Tawang came up with four recovered cases.
With less daily cases, the State’s recovery rate has further skipped to a new high of 99.32 percent.
The has till now accumulated a total of 3,85,299 samples for Covid-19 testing, of which 763 were collected on Wednesday.
