Governor extends greetings on Parakram Diwas

ITANAGAR, Jan 22: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra has extended his warm greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of PARAKRAM DIWAS, commemorating the 125th Birth Anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose, affectionately called ‘Netaji’.

He expressed hope that the special occasion would inspire all to reinforce the eternal spirit of patriotism.

In his message, the Governor said that Netaji was the most prominent leader during the struggle for freedom of the century. Subhash Chandra Bose was an ‘action nationalist’, whose defiant patriotism made him one of the greatest Indian freedom fighters. He was a great military leader, a superb combat Force organiser and a battle field motivator, Dr Mishra said.

On the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji, the Governor urged upon the people to imbibe his famous words, ‘It is blood alone that can pay the price of freedom. Give me blood and I will give you freedom’ and ‘Men, money and material cannot by themselves bring victory or freedom. We must have the motive-power that will inspire us to brave deeds and heroic exploits’. I am sanguine that our youth today will be inspired by these famous words of Netaji and move forward to contribute positively in the process of Nation Building, he said.

On this momentous occasion, I call upon all my beloved people of Arunachal Pradesh to emulate the spirit and values of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to realize his dream of progressive, prosperous and self-reliant Bharat, the Governor appealed.
