U/Subansiri gets PLP 2021-22

ITANAGAR, Feb 22: The Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) 2021-22 for Upper Subansiri district was launched today by Taga Ekke (ADC), in-charge Deputy Commissioner Upper Subansiri at the DC conference hall, Daporijo during the DCC/DLRC meeting in presence of Lead District Officer from RBI, Guwahati, LDM, Bank Managers from SBI Daporijo, APStCABL Daporijo, APRB Daporijo, CBI, Daporijo, District Development Manager, NABARD and officials of district line departments.
The overall estimated credit potential projected for Upper Subansiri has been made at Rs 2974.38 lakh for the year 2021-22. Of this agricultural sector (Farm Credit, Agri-Infra. & Ancillary activities) accounts for Rs 2196.47 lakh, MSME accounts for Rs 535.28 lakh and others (education, housing, social infra, renewable energy, SHG-BLP) account for Rs 242.63 lakh.
DDM, NABARD briefed about the whole process and objective of preparing the PLP document for each district of the country every year by NABARD, keeping in view the policies & priorities of the Government of India, Reserve Bank of India and the State Govt towards modernizing agriculture and reducing rural poverty through promotion of agri-business, strengthening rural infrastructure, up scaling micro finance intervention and creating sustainable livelihood in the rural non-farm sector and also keeping in view the availability of physical infrastructure and credit absorption capacity in the district under various sectors.
The document indicates the bankable potentials for various activities to guide all the stakeholders viz banks, district administration and implementing departments of the State Government to materialize the growth potential of the district. PLP projections serve as a basis for the banks in preparing the District Credit Plan (DCP) every year.
