State Assembly session from Feb 25 Mein to present Budget 2021-22 on Mar 3

ITANAGAR, Feb 22: The Sixth Session of Seventh Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh, which will be the Budget session, will commence from February 25 (Thursday) next with Governor Brig (Retd) BD Mishra’s customary address to the House. The session will be of seven days – February 25, March 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8, Assembly Secretary Kago Habung said.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who holds the Finance portfolio, will present the Budget Estimates for the financial year 2021-22 on March 3.
Apart from the Gender Budget, the Minister in-charge of Finance will present the Child Budget for the FY 2021-22, for the first time.
The House will take up the Budget Estimates 2021-22 for general discussion on March 5 and 6 for consideration and passing.
Among other legislative businesses, eight important Government Bills will be tabled in the House on the very first day. They include: ‘The Arunachal Pradesh Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill, 2021’, ‘The Arunachal Pradesh Indian Medicine Council (Amendment) Bill, 2021’, ‘The Arunachal Pradesh Legislatures Members (Prevention of Disqualification) (Amendment) Bill, 2021’, ‘The Arunachal Pradesh Ease of Doing Business Bill, 2021’, ‘The Arunachal Pradesh Civil Courts Bill, 2021’, ‘The Arunachal Pradesh Goods and Service Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2021’, ‘The Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2021’, and ‘The Arunachal Pradesh (Obsoletes and Redundant Acts and Regulation) Repeal Bill, 2021’.
The House will also take up obituary reference in respect of former Members late Tsering Tashi and late Khapriso Krong on the opening day, the Secretary informed.
