Newly constructed Runne Dere launched


PASIGHAT, Feb 22: The newly constructed Runne Dere (community hall) was inaugurated today by a noted social worker Oyak Ering in presence of local MLAs Kaling Moyong and Ninong Ering, CO Yagrung R Lego, PRI leaders, GBs and others.
Runne Employees Welfare Association (REWA) voluntarily contributed Rs 15 lakhs for construction of the Dere. Various local and social issues were discussed by the elders of the village on the occasion and it was “unanimously” decided that in memory of the modern architect Arunachal, late Dr Daying Ering, a statue would be installed in the village.
Pasighat East MLA Moyong admitted that Runne has huge potential to be turned into a hot tourist destination, if properly developed. He assured the required fund for construction of the boundary wall of the Dere and some amount for installation of Daying Ering’s statue.
Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering terming it (Dere) a quality construction assured to provide some amount from his MLALAD fund for installation of Daying Ering’s statue and beautification.
Earlier, REWA general secretary Talut Siram appealed for conservation of mother earth. (DIPRO)
