Felix stresses on smooth completion of FTI at Jote

ITANAGAR, Feb 16: Minister IPR, RWD Bamang Felix, who inspected the site of the ongoing Film and Television Institute (FTI) at Jote, has called upon the locals to create a conducive atmosphere so that the project gets completed smoothly saying “this will bring long term benefits to the society in terms of economical development and secure the future of the coming generation”, said an official press note.

Accompanied by Nabam Rebia, Minister Environment and Forests, Satya Gopal, Chief Secy, Sonam Chombay, Secy IPR and the officers of implementing agencies, IPR department and others during the inspection of the project the foundation stone of which was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Felix said: “I have come to bridge the gap between the locals and the project developers” and hoped that the relation that develops will be cordial and beneficial for both.

Appreciating the land donors, he said that many project like NIT, Women College, Law College, Greenfield Airport etc which are coming up in the area will usher in unprecedented development in the area, he said adding the Narendra Modi govt at the Centre as well as Pema Khandu govt in the state is committed for the development to percolate down to the grassroots.

He also appealed the people to maintain the dignity of the institution so that more such projects come to the area. He assured that fund will be managed for wider road to the institution.

The Minister informed that this institution is third of its kind in the country where the youths can pursue their interest and become successful in the world of films and television. He assured the implementing agencies that all cooperation and support will be provided by the state govt.

Rebia said that Jote and its adjoining areas are turning out to be higher education hub with the setting up of various important and prestigious institutions. He appealed all to cooperate and help in setting up the institution.

Reiterating the commitment of the Central and state governments in all-round development of the state, he assured to take up the matter regarding the improvement of road to Balijan, Hollongi etc, which will usher in faster development to the area.

He appealed all to maintain the quality of works and said that for broader road to the FTI, fund will be managed.

The CS said that the state is on the path of inclusive growth and development adding the Team Arunachal's endeavour is to develop Arunachal Pradesh as one of the best states of the country.
