State records single day highest spike of eight cases in COVID 2.0

ITANAGAR, Apr 7: The State recorded the single day highest spike in COVID 2.0 with the detection of eight daily cases in the past 24 hours. During the period, two were also discharged post their recovery from the virus. With this, the active caseload has mounted to 17, according to an official note.

The State’s tally of 16,861 confirmed cases also comprises 16,788 discharged and 56 death cases, stated a bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services here this evening.

Itanagar Capital Complex, Namsai and Lower Dibang Valley reported two cases each, while one each came from West Kameng and Lohit. Six of the total cases turned out to be asymptomatic and two symptomatic, as per the bulletin.

Among the fresh infected, two are GREF personnel from Namsai, one military personnel in W/Kameng and one ITBP personnel from Lohit.

Of the remaining active cases, nine (four from ICC, two each in Upper Subansiri & Namsai and one from Changlang) are in home isolation, stated the bulletin.

On the positive side, two recoveries were found in LDV.

The State on Wednesday tested 330 samples for Covid-19 that took the cumulative figure to 4,15,547, in accordance with the bulletin.
