BRO motorcycle rally reaches Sapper


BOMDILA, May 3: To commemorate the Border Roads Organization (BRO)’s 61st Raising Day on May 7, all the Projects of BRO in the eastern sector are organizing motorcycle rally in their Area of Responsibility (AoR) to spread road safety and Covid awareness in Arunachal Pradesh.
The motorcycle expedition comprising team of Project Vartak led by Col Anil Kothiyal, team of HQ Arunank and team of HQ Brahmank was flagged off by Health Minister Alo Libang on May 1 from Itanagar. These BRO Projects along with Project Udayak are executing a large number of activities related to road construction, road maintenance and bridging work in the different parts of Arunachal Pradesh.
The expedition teams while spreading Covid awareness are briefing people on facts related to Covid-19, cause of spread, measures to be adopted for prevention, need of vaccination and Covid appropriate behaviours for prevention. Additionally, the importance of road safety measures is being briefed to the people to safeguard the life of road users.
The motorcycle expedition of Project Vartak reached Sapper (Dirang) Sunday spreading the Covid awareness and road safety measures to the local inhabitants and casual paid labourers (CPL) of BRO at various locations en route.
The team will be going upto the border areas of Tawang district and after covering a distance of more than 2,000 km, they will be going back to HQ Vartak on May 7. (DIPRO)
