PASIGHAT, May 12: In an encouraging move, the 2001-02 batchmates of IGJ Govt Higher Secondary School, Pasighat came together and donated valuable consumables to the Dedicated COVID Hospital (DCH) and COVID Care Centre (CCC), Pasighat on Tuesday.

The former students of the school’s 2001-02 batch, who are settled across the country and abroad, have donated 1200 surgical masks, 900 each surgical caps & gloves, 300 face shields, 34 N95 masks, 30 pairs of gumboots, 20 adhesive plasters, 20 bottles of sanitiser (500 ml) and 12 packs of BMW bags to DCH Pasighat.

While receiving these items from the alumni represented by Kaling Darang and four others, Jt DHS Dr D Raina and MS, BPGH Dr Y R Darang appreciated this altruistic act by the 2001-02 batchmates of IGJGHSS and said these will immensely help the frontline workers at DCH.

Earlier, this group has donated 50 face shields, 400 masks and gloves to CCC Pasighat. The items were received by Dr Miti Darang, the in-charge MO. They are also planning to donate such items to the Emergency wards, BPGH very soon.
