Rs 66 cr allocated for clearing Covid-19 related liabilities

ITANAGAR, May 12: The Department of Disaster Management, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday given administrative approval and expenditure sanction to allocate Rs 66.0029 crore through PFMS platform from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) for clearance of pending liabilities of Covid-19 related expenditure in TRIHMS (Rs 29.15 crore) and in the districts (Rs 19.28 crore), and another Rs 17.57 crore for procurement of Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kits.

Informing this, Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a social media post said, “Pursuant to decision of State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), for effective management of #COVID19, Rs 66.0029 crores of SDRF has been released to Health Department and all Deputy Commissioners for COVID related expenses.”

CM orders students’ stipends be disbursed immediately

In another ‘development’, the Chief Minister while posting the ‘order’ (dated 21st April 2021) copy of approval accorded for release of Rs 2685.34 lakh to the Dept of Higher and Technical Education for ‘payment of stipend and book grants for the academic session 2020-21’, wrote: “For stipend & scholarships for our students, I have instructed as under:- Stipend for college & university students will be disbursed immediately. Further instructed dept to release the post matric scholarship of Tribal ministry proportionately to all eligible students as per funds released by ministry so far including eligible state share. Release Stipend of DIET students as per norms.”
