ITANAGAR, Sep 14: A three-week-long induction training programme for the newly appointed junior engineers of the Power Department got underway here on Tuesday.
The programme is being conducted to create a conducive work culture and to train the engineers on various topics related to legal and regulatory frameworks of power sector, best practices in operation system, intelligent transformer maintenance, state grid code and supply code etc along with the basics of office procedures related to establishment and accounts section.
Atleast 32 newly recruited JEs are undergoing the induction training. Addressing the new recruits during its inauguration at DK Convention Center here today, Chief Engineer (Transmission, Planning & Monitoring Zone) H R Bado advised them to learn from the resource persons during the training session. While extending best wishes to them, he exhorted them to work dedicatedly. “Maintain humbleness and do not hesitate to learn new things,” he said.
Calling them well educated with vast knowledge of modern technologies, Bado urged them to use such knowledge and ideas for the upliftment of the State as well as for the department.
He acknowledged the importance of JEs in the department and said, “JEs are the front runner and backbone of the department. They know the ground reality of the department and even seniors will seek information from them.”
Among others, SE (E), Electrical Transmission Circle, T K Tara, SE (E) Planning Duyu Tacho and SE (E) nodal officer training Nangkong Perme, EE (E) Hibu Bama and AE (E) Purick Buchi also spoke and gave words of advice to the trainees. The programme will conclude on October 8 next.
