Recoveries continue to outnumber daily cases

ITANAGAR, Sep 18: Continuing the occurrence for the third consecutive day today, the State recorded more recoveries than the daily cases.

32 fresh cases were reported during the past 24 hours that took the State’s tally of confirmed cases to 54060. On the contrary, 76 recuperated in the period that dipped its active caseload to 461 and increased the total discharged cases to 53328. The State has recorded 271 fatalities so far, according to a bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services here this evening.

Lower Subansiri (found four cases) became the worst hit district with an active cases tally of 77, while Tawang (one) took the second spot with a caseload of 61.

Itanagar Capital Complex, relegated to third place, registered nine cases (more cured) that dipped its active caseload further to 58.

Of the total cases, 18 turned out to be asymptomatic and 14 symptomatic.

On the positive side, ICC came up with 19 recoveries, followed by East Siang at 11 and West Siang at 10.

The State today tested 2975 samples for Covid-19 that took its cumulative figure to 11,14,056. 

Meanwhile, the State logged 38 daily cases and 69 recoveries on Friday.
