LIKABALI, Jan 13: In an attempt to ensure that welfare & government facilities reach people’s doorstep, the District Administration of Lower Siang conducted Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) camp at Serene Primary School.
The programme was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Marto Riba along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Nari Kenbom Nyodu, DPO Likabali Hengo Riba, HoDs and other dignitaries.
As part of its continuing celebrations of 75years of Independence and observing India’s freedom struggle based on the theme ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the Lower Siang District Administration organized the camp at Seren village.
Meanwhile, the villagers from Seren circle availed the facilities of various department services during the camp. As many as 16 departments including District Administration, Health, Education, Transport, ICDS, Agriculture, Forest, Veterinary, Fisheries, RWD, PHED and Industries provided their services to the public at their doorstep.
During the camp, the concerned line departments distributed tools and equipment, soil health cards, MGNREGS Job Cards/ST/PRC/Birth/Income Certificates and 76 learners driver license etc.
On the occasion, the Environment & Forests department distributed a variety of saplings and imparted awareness on afforestation and consequences of deforestation. (DIPRO)
