CoSAAP, AAPSU condole APCS officer’s death

ITANAGAR, Jan 19: The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has condoled the sudden demise of APCS officer Vijoy Tamuk in a Guwahati hospital on January 17 after prolonged illness.

He was 47 and left behind two wives, two sons and a daughter.

Born on 23rd November, 1975 at Rani village of East Siang district, Tamuk, who did masters in Geography from Rajiv Gandhi University (erstwhile Arunachal University) in 2000, joined the Govt service as Circle Officer in 2003. He was promoted to the post of EAC in 2018 and was holding the post of Project Director, DRDA, Siang district at the time of his demise.

Late Vijoy Tamuk was a very sincere and hard working civil servant and discharged his assigned duties with utmost dedication and was loved by one and all. He was also one of the renowned singers of the Adi community and a good footballer as well. His sudden demise has created a vacuum in the state administration, and among the music and football lovers of the state which will be difficult to fill in, said the CoSAAP leadership, in a condolence message.

Condoling the untimely demise of Vijoy Tamuk, the All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) said, in his death greater Arunachal society lost a prolific civil service officer who had many years to serve the society.

Tamuk was a versatile personality. Apart from being an able administrator, he was a great singer and sportsman. His many songs will continue to reverberate and mesmerize generations to come, AAPSU general secretary Tobom Dai said.

The union prayed to the almighty God to give enough strength to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss.
