Inaugural ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ camp conducted in Siang dist

BOLENG, Nov 24: In a series of 10 camps for ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ in Siang district, the first was conducted at Kaying today in which 12 govt departments offered their services.

MLA Talem Taboh, who inaugurated the programme, interacted with the departmental officials and members of the general public. He implored upon the public to take “full” benefit of this govt initiative as many welfare schemes like old-age pension, health insurance etc require documents like Aadhaar card, ST and permanent resident certificates which one can obtain at a single venue.

The MLA Taboh also handed out job cards under MGNREGS to the participants.

Various govt departments provided services through issuance of MGNREGS job cards, income, ST, PR and birth certificates, conducting free health check-ups, forms under CM Arogya Arunachal Yojana and PM Jan Arogya Yojana for health insurance, distribution of fertilizer, Aadhaar enrolment and seeding, updating of ration cards, payment of electricity bills, and collection of old age pension and widow pension forms.

Information, education, and communication (IEC) activities were also conducted on PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Dulari Kanya scheme, Swachh Bharat Mission, SHGs and other livelihood avenues, schemes covering agriculture and allied sectors, demonstration on mushroom cultivation, and legal awareness on domestic violence and other crimes against women.
