State’s first AI Skills lab set up at GHSS, Ganga

ITANAGAR, Nov 24: In an effort towards creating an artificial intelligence (AI) readiness among the youth in the State - Education department, Arunachal Pradesh, CBSE and Intel joined hands to set up the first AI Skills lab of Arunachal Pradesh, which was established at the  Govt Hr Sec School, Ganga, Itanagar.

This “development” came in the backdrop of Intel, in partnership with governments worldwide, having rolled out a comprehensive AI (artificial intelligence) readiness programme called `Intel® AI For Youth' to address AI skills gaps that aims to demystify and democratize access to AI by introducing youth from diverse backgrounds to a gateway that leads towards greater AI readiness.

In this connection, to build AI mindset among students, a training for students on ‘Intel AI for Youth Curriculum’ started on November 19 which will conclude on November 25 next.

The training has been envisaged for inciting the interest level of students towards Artificial Intelligence. The curriculum design is also activity based wherein the concepts of AI are explained and practiced with much ease. The ongoing training will invoke the interest level of students towards AI and will help in inculcating a skill set to make them AI ready for the future, said an official note.

This training has started a new era in the school education of Arunachal Pradesh and with time this beginning will lead to a revolution wherein the govt schools students will find a new domain for their careers. The training is being conducted by Anoop Singh Rawat and Sapna Bist, AI coaches from Intel AI for Youth team.

The Education department is extremely delighted and taking pride in initiating AI Skills lab at GHSS Ganga, It also expressed high optimism of replicating the model to other schools and districts of the State.
