GoAP urged for hassle-free construction of Likabali-Kangku PMGSY road

ITANAGAR, Jan 27: The Galo Peoples' Federation (GPF) while strongly condemning the act of vandalism and obstruction by the neighbouring state Assam on the ongoing Likabali to Kangku PMGSY road construction at Hime village under Kangku circle of Lower Siang district recently has urged the state government for necessary intervention to ensure hassle-free construction of the road and its timely completion as well.

The GPF, in a release, alleged that the construction materials were completely damaged and the labour camp was also destroyed.

“GoAP should immediately talk with its Assam counterpart, as the said project has nothing to do with Assam. Repeated disturbances from the people of Assam in the said project are badly affecting its timely completion,” it said.

Meanwhile, the Galo Students’ Union (GSU), while also alleging the atrocities from the Assam side on the ongoing PMGSY road project, has requested the state government for early intervention in the matter.
