Mossang calls for maintaining work culture

YUPIA, Nov 24: Urban Development, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Kamlung Mossang today inaugurated a new office building of UD & Housing near DC office, Yupia in presence of Tana Hali Tara, MLA Doimukh-cum-advisor to Minister AHV, DD & Fisheries, Secretary UD & Housing Mitali Namchoom, Chief Engineer (UD & H) K Darang, Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu, SP Dr N Nega, ADC (HQs), HoDs, GBs, PRI leaders and officials of the department.

In his address, Mossang congratulated the department for its new building and hailed the untiring effort put in by the local MLA for successful completion of the building and establishment of division at Yupia.

The minister also stressed on the need for maintaining work culture keeping in view the welfare of the public while citing the instances of hardship faced by the visitors during absence or insincerity of employees. Responding to a memo placed by the MLA pertaining to creation of infrastructures, handing over of indoor stadium to UD Division, Yupia and declaration of Balijan as urban town, the Minister spoke about the technical issues and assured that infrastructures development will be placed on priority in a phased manner.

The MLA, speaking on the occasion, apprised the Minister about the problems and grievances of Doimukh town saying it is one of the oldest towns in the State and requested the Govt to facilitate the town with proper infrastructures like roads, drainage and adequate manpower for keeping it neat and clean through UD department.

He also requested the Minister for early release and handing over of fund meant for the Yupia Division for smooth functioning and speedy development of the area. (DIPRO)
