AALO, Feb 4: The West Siang Zilla Parishad under the chairmanship of ZPC Babom Romin today finalized the Zilla Parishad Development Plan (ZPDP) for the financial year 2022-23.
During the meeting held in the Panchayat office premises here, the West Siang Zilla Parishad Chairperson, in his address, exhorted all the ZPMs and HoDs for their fruitful deliberations and stressed on skill development training for unemployed youths of the district. He also suggested that all the defunct schools either be made functional or closed down. He also highlighted the use of ECCE funds parked in DPDO office and urged the higher authority in Education Dept to issue guidelines to utilize it.
The ZPC also urged the Govt for 'practical' devolution of power to the PRIs. He also raised the issue of General Ground, Aalo "which is lying without any progress" due to which denizens are facing problems for holding any event.
ZPMs Tumpe Ete, Gumsen Lollen, Mari Kato, Genya Ori and Momar Lollen spoke on ZPDP and other subjects. The EE, PHED, Assistant Director T & H, BEO, DPDO and ADC cum Member Secretary Zilla Parishad also spoke in the meeting. (DIPRO)
