ITANAGAR, May 13: The much-publicised protest march to Delhi which was proposed to be started today by activist Sol Dodum has been called off.

The move came after the state government gave a ‘written assurance’ to fulfill all of his remaining demands. Itanagar EAC Datum Gadi arrived at the protest venue here this afternoon with the communication.

While the EE, PHED Seppa Division has already been transferred, the state government gave its ‘approval’ for SIC probe into the corruption allegation levelled against the WTP Lai Moya project, Kuchi Nallah Water supply project and WTP Macha project, and April 12 assault case to be investigated by the SIT and the DC’s transfer to be done within three months.

While talking to reporters, Dodum expressed happiness saying that it is not just his win but the common people’s. “With the people coming and supporting the cause it has become a people’s movement,” he said.

He, however, said that he will renew his movement if the demands aren’t fulfilled accordingly.
