Cover all villages of Namsai under digital banking: DC

NAMSAI, May 13: The Deputy Commissioner of the ‘Aspirational’ district Namsai, RK Sharma, today chaired a coordination meeting to review the status of CSC (Common Service Centre) and CSP (Common Service Point) across the district as part of Digital India campaign. The DC, in his address, stressed to cover all the villages of the district under digital banking as part of the Aspirational District Programme.

DPO cum Nodal Officer (Aspirational District) Dr K Sarmah elucidated the importance of CSC and CSP which is one of the important KPIs (key performance indicators) for the Aspirational district. He emphasised to cover all insurance schemes like PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY and other social security schemes of State and Central Govts under CSC/CSP through village level entrepreneurs (VLEs).

He also stressed on the need to augment internet connectivity as the world is emphasizing on digitalisation in every aspect of life. DIO Namsai W Namchoom assured to expand the internet connectivity which will further boost the activities of CSC and CSP.

ADC (Namsai) S Mining lauded VLEs for providing services at the grassroot level. He also assured that district administration will provide full support in strengthening CSC and CSP across Namsai.

The meeting was also attended by CO Lathao, District Manager CSC, Namsai unit and VLEs from across the district. (DIPRO)
