ITANAGAR, May 20: Ajanta, an eminent poet, fiction writer and a translator residing in Arunachal Pradesh has been selected for conferment of Luminous Lummer Dai Literary Award for the year 2022.
The prestigious award will be presented to her on June 1 on the occasion of 82nd birth anniversary of the late literary icon ‘Sahitya Surjya’ Lummer Dai by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein in a function at the conference hall of the State Guest House (old CM bungalow) here. This was informed by Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society president Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi on Friday.
Ajanta’s name was selected from a panel of non-APST writers residing in Arunachal Pradesh by a jury comprising Director of State Gazetteer Sokhep Kri (chairman) and Nomi Maga Gumro and Subi Taba being its members. The award carries a citation, a memento and a cash of Rs 10,000.
