AALO, May 20: West Siang district disaster management authority (DDMA) meeting was held under the chairmanship of DC Penga Tato here today.
The DC requested all line departments to be well equipped for any eventuality during the monsoon season. Saying that the surface communication is often badly affected in the district during the season, he urged all the line departments to be ready with their services.
He further asked the TCC Company to keep all men and machinery in vulnerable landslide zones. “The department of Food & Civil Supplies must maintain the buffer stock of rice and other ration items,” he added.
West Siang DDMO Nima Dorjee also urged all line departments to cooperate during any monsoon related disaster.
Kamba ADC Rujjum Raksap requested all departments for good coordination, especially during the rainy season. “All line departments must be ready for any unforeseen natural calamities,” he said.
All the HoDs, admin officers and officers from ITBP, BRTF and Indian army were present in the meeting. (DIPRO)
