Dharmendra takes charge as Arunachal Chief Secy

ITANAGAR, Jun 22: Senior IAS officer Dharmendra on Wednesday took over the charge of Chief Secretary, Government of Arunachal Pradesh at the State Civil Secretariat here, an official communique said.

The 1989-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre succeeds Naresh Kumar, who has been transferred to the national capital and appointed as the Chief Secretary of Delhi.  

Prior to his joining as the Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh, Dharmendra was serving as the Chairman of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).

Upon his joining, the new Chief Secretary got down to work, convening a meeting with the senior officers of the State government and took stock of important projects and issues pertaining to the State.

Earlier, the new Chief Secretary was accorded a warm welcome by a team of senior officers led by Principal Secretary, Finance, Planning & Investment Dr Sharat Chauhan, the communiqué added.
