ITANAGAR, Jun 22: The body of one Kiran Thapa was today fished out from the Burhi-Dehing river a day after the boat capsize incident near Bordumsa in Changlang district.
Changlang DC Sunny K Singh said, the body of the 54-year-old was retrieved around 6 am in the morning about 10 km away from the place of occurrence by the civilians and handed over to the relatives.
The boat, which was ferrying a vehicle, a motorcycle, and a few passengers, capsized at Wagun Ghat near Bordumsa on Tuesday. While the other passengers were rescued and vehicles retrieved by the NDRF team, the owner of the car Kiran Thapa could not be found.
