ITANAGAR, Jun 23: New Chief Secretary Dharmendra called on Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra at Raj Bhavan here on Thursday. It was a courtesy call, a communiqué from the Raj Bhavan said.
During the meeting, the Governor advised the newly-posted Chief Secretary to closely monitor the development projects to ensure quality and timely implementation.
He said the benefits of the State and Central Governments' schemes and programmes should reach the targeted people and also the last person in the queue.
Sharing his observations of development activities and education and health facilities in remote border areas, the Governor asked the Chief Secretary to review the educational centres and public security on a regular basis.
He further advised the Chief Secretary to establish an effective, responsive and prompt communication, compliance and people-friendly interaction system with all 26 Deputy Commissioners of the State, the communiqué added.
