Sidisow ‘assures’ fund for community halls

BHALUKPONG, Aug 7: Local MLA cum Advisor to Minister (Environment and Forests) Kumsi Sidisow has assured to ‘allot’ necessary funds for the construction of community halls for Sessa and Elephant Flat during the ‘Booth Sashaktikaran Abhiyan’ at Sessa on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering, he also informed that a ‘recommendation’ under the supervision of Environment & Forests Minister Mama Natung has been sent to the central government for the construction of a forest guest house under eco-tourism projects at Sessa.

“Sessa Orchid Sanctuary is well known for its flora & fauna as well as for tourist footfalls. So, in view of its importance and without disturbing the environment, we have decided to construct one forest guest house for the ease of tourists and researchers,” added Sidisow.

Responding to a public memorandum, he also assured to allot funds for construction of a hanging bridge (suspension bridge) at New Sessa. While highlighting the electricity connection in the Sessa village, the MLA informed that the 2.5 MW Sessa hydel power project has been restored and also a separate connection from Power Grid has been providing power to the area.

Speaking about the Booth Sashaktikaran Abhiyan, he urged the party workers to work unitedly leaving behind any differences, and help common people to get the schemes & projects of central as well as state government. “We must roll up our sleeves to work for the betterment of common people and help the BJP win again in 2024 elections,” he added.
