3-day photo exhibition on AKAM begins

ITANAGAR, Nov 23: A three-day photo exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) and 8 years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan, organized by Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office Itanagar under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has commenced at Don Bosco Youth Centre (DBYC) here on Wednesday.

The photo exhibition was inaugurated by Itanagar Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom. Speaking on the occasion, the DC praised the initiative of CBC, Itanagar Regional Office for organizing the exhibition. He said that the government is taking up various programmes and policies for the development of the nation and people and such exhibitions can create awareness among the masses about these initiatives. He appealed the participants to take full advantage of the programme to know about what their governments are doing for them. 

Earlier, CBC Itanagar Regional Office In-Charge Rakesh Doley, in his welcome address, briefed about the aims and objectives of the event. He said that the photo exhibition aims at showcasing 8 years of achievements in every sector of the present central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Apart from this, the CBC has also set up a section in the exhibition stall displaying information of some of the unsung heroes of Arunachal Pradesh who had fought against the British rule.

DBYC coordinator Fr Sunny Minj and Eleazar English School principal Pranjal Pratim Sharma were also present in the inaugural programme.
