DA bid to promote tourism in Shi-Yomi

MECHUKHA, Nov 24: In a bid to promote tourism in the district, Shi-Yomi Deputy Commissioner Mito Dirchi has presented souvenirs/mementos for free to 50 registered Homestays and HGBs/GBs of the district in a programme conducted at the Panchayat Hall here today.

The souvenir items include ceramic coffee mugs with printed landscape photos of Mechukha and ponies found in Mechukha, magnetic cards with landscape photos of Mechukha printed on them, and key chains printed with photos of traditional attire of the local community in the district. The photos printed on the souvenirs were captured by PRO to Speaker, Sanjay Mosing. A total of 5 sets each of ceramic coffee mugs, magnetic cards and key chains were gifted to each of the registered Homestay owners, and GBs of the district.

Mechukha ADC Kesang Goiba, who alongwith local ZPM Maling Koje handed over the items on behalf of the district administration, asked the Homestay owners to inculcate good habits and develop new ideas to attract visitors and promote tourism in the area.
