Anjangmai Mam wins glory for Arunachal

ITANAGAR, Jan 21: Anjangmai Mam, a ‘first-generation’ girl student from Pukhuri village in Wakro circle of Lohit district made Arunachal proud in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu by winning first rank with distinction and the T A Ramalinga Chettiar Award in the MSc Extension & Communication in the Dept of Home Science Extension Education.

She received the award from Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan at the 34th Convocation ceremony of the Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science & Higher Education for Women, a deemed University.

A senior youth library volunteer of the Lohit Youth Library Network for the last 13 years, Anjangmai Mam had in 2021 also won the first rank and gold medal in her BSc Rural Development & Sociology. She had taken part in several reading campaign programmes in Lohit, Anjaw and Changlang districts, apart from the AWIC Children’s Library Conference in 2014 at New Delhi.
