A massive protest was staged in front of the office of Papum Pare DC at Yupia on Tuesday by the people of Banderdewa, Gumto, Kimin and Kakoi circles who fear displacement post settlement of the inter-state boundary matter by the Regional Committees of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh as per the Namsai Declaration. Alleging that their areas will be given away to neighbouring Assam, the protesters aired their angst against the proposed joint verification of their areas.
