ITANAGAR, Jan 30: Arunachal Pradesh won six medals, including four gold, at the GAMMAI National Championship 2023, which was held at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh from 28th to 30th January, in five age groups.
Dado Chumpi clinched two golds in 52.2 and 60 kg categories and one silver in 56.7 kg. Dado was also awarded as the best female fighter of the tournament and received Rs 50,000 in cash.
Tadar Tabyu secured gold in 47kg (under 11 years), while Diyo Rimo won gold under 61.2 kg in striking MMA. Bengia Lalu bagged bronze in 52.2 kg (U-18 category).
The fighters, representing Abrasumente Academy MMA of Itanagar, were coached by Techi Karda.
