UBA NERIST participates in ‘UNNATI’ Mahotsav & Expo

NEW DELHI, Mar 17: The National Coordinating Institute for Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, IIT Delhi organized a two-day “UNNATI” (Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Networking for National Atmanirbhar Technology Intervention) Mahotsav and Expo that got underway on Friday.

The event, which was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Education Dr Subhas Sarkar, aimed to exhibit the knowledge-based solutions that resulted from continuous interactions among knowledge institutions, students and faculty members and primary stakeholders through Gram Sabhas of respective villages.

Participating in the event, the Regional Coordinating Institute, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), NERIST team comprising coordinator Dr T Patel and member Dr A Pal, under the guidance of regional coordinator Prof P Lingfa, showcased two technologies namely, “Ergonomics Intervention for the Sherpa method of load carriage” and “Solar operated Paddy Thresher for Sustainable livelihood of Agricultural workers” respectively. 

The event was also graced by National Commission for Scheduled Tribes Chairman Harsh Chouhan and President, YOJAK Centre for Research & Strategic Planning for Sustainable Development, Dr Gajanan Dange, among others.
