Workshop on child-friendly portals organized

ITANAGAR, Mar 17: A one-day State level sensitization, orientation cum consultation workshop on “POCSO Tracking Portal, Out of School Portal, GHAR Portal & MASI App” was organized by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) at the Art of Living Ashram, Jully near here on Friday.

Attending the programme, which was facilitated by Seva Bharati Purbanchal (SBP), Advisor to the Chief Minister, Tai Tagak highlighted the importance of educating a child so that they become an asset to the society. “Morals should also be taught to children during their learning years so that criminal activity in future is curtailed,” he added.

APSCPCR Member cum in-charge Chairperson Niri Chongrowju spoke about the child rights and need to protect them. Advocate Anuj Saluja, consultant, Legal Division of NCPCR highlighted the development of the portals and gave a brief about the usage of portals in various fields.

During the technical session, the IT in-charge of NCPCR presented the various digital portals developed by the NCPCR to ensure timely, efficient and seamless monitoring and tracking of various data related to violations and deprivation of child rights.

The workshop was attended by representatives from Child Care Institution (CCI) OWA & Missionaries of Charity, Naharlagun, Childline Itanagar, CWCs, DCPUs and DDSEs from various districts of the state. It was also attended by APSCPCR Members Ngurang Achung and Jumtum Minga.
