RONO HILLS, Mar 18: The Hindi Cell of Rajiv Gandhi University has conducted a one-day workshop on Friday for the university employees enrolled in Hindi teaching scheme and Hindi typing training programme run by Dept of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India. These courses are mandatory for employees who have not passed class X with Hindi as a compulsory subject.
Attending as a resource person, RGU Hindi Officer Gumpi Nguso Lombi said that as a Central Govt employee, learning Hindi for administrative assignments is our duty, as well as we are getting a chance to bring more clarity in our Hindi language, and learning language will impart more knowledge.
She further stated that now-a-days using new tools & techniques provided by GOI, learning language is becoming easier. She practically introduced the trainees to how we can easily type in Hindi on English keyboards, and briefed them regarding all the incentives of cash prize, lump sum award and one-time increment given by GOI on completion of these courses.
She further added that technology has made typing Hindi and translation easier. Tacha Ningee, Hindi typist gave a power-point presentation. Around 50 participants were benefitted by the day-long programme from faculty members and administrative staff. The trainees were distributed their kits and registration cards and certificates.
