ITANAGAR, Mar 18: In view of ensuing G20 summit in the State capital to be on March 25 which is to be attended by foreign delegates along with dignitaries from the Govt of India, the Itanagar Capital Complex in-charge DC cum District Magistrate Sachin Rana has prohibited dumping of construction materials viz. sand, gravels, bamboo, firewood, etc along the NH-415 and sector roads.
While noting that “due to dumping of building construction materials viz. sand, gravels, etc along road side lot of debris got accumulated in the roads which is diminishing the aesthetic beauty of the Itanagar Capital Region,” the DM said, it is felt necessary to remove the nuisance created by such debris kept/placed by the private parties as well as the Govt department.
The DM further ordered that all kinds of earth cutting activities within the jurisdiction of Itanagar Capital Complex are banned with immediate effect till further order. He directed the EAC/CO alongwith concerned OCs of police stations in Itanagar to carry out patrolling to ensure that dumping of construction materials and earth cutting activities are stopped with immediate effect.
