AU FEST-2023 draws to a close

LEKHI, Mar 18: The AU FEST-2023, an annual literary, cultural and games & sports event for the students of Arunodaya University concluded at the varsity’s Lekhi campus on Saturday.

Attending the valedictory function, Itanagar Capital Complex SP Jimmy Chiram, in his address, asked the students to learn as much skills as possible for a bright future. He exhorted them to play games and sports, stating that besides keeping oneself physically fit, it also teaches discipline and leadership skills.

Underlining the role of youths in nation building, the SP called upon the students to ‘have high ambitions, but moderate expectations and small needs’.

Registrar of Venkateshwara Open University (Lekhi), Dr Arun Kr Choudhary, in his speech, asked the students to give priority to their studies, while channelizing their remaining energy in extra-curricular activities.

On the occasion, the SP and the Registrar gave away the prizes to the winners of various literary, cultural and sports competitions.

Earlier, in his welcome address, AU Pro-Chancellor Prof (Dr) VN Sharma highlighted the achievements of university students in the field of academics, games & sports, NSS and other co-curricular activities. Among others, AU director Dr Suresh Verma, registrar Sohan Kr Jha, liaison officer Tanya Nyadu, academic coordinator Pankaj Bora and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
