ITANAGAR, Mar 18: As part of its Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2022-23 organized at the Govt Sec School Kakaling, Bomdila (ACP) today, 138 Bn of CRPF established a library for the school students.
B Bharat Reddy, Superintendent of Police, Bomdila, H S Kales, Commandant 138 Bn, Sukhvir Singh, Second-in-Command, Vedpal Singh, Dy Commandant, Prajeet Singh, Asstt Commandant, Dr Sonjoy Tamuli, T C Atjepu, headmistress of GSS Kakaling and others were present during the CAP.
The SP, in his speech, appreciated the CRPF for always lending their hands for the welfare of local people wherever they are deployed. He urged the students to inculcate the habit of reading in order to enhance knowledge and under the wider scope of life as a library is a storehouse of books, which contribute a lot to the society in its growth and development.
Kales, in his address, informed that CRPF conducts this type of programme regularly and distributes daily life essentials to the locals as per their requirement to build a strong bond between the security forces and the local populace to develop a sense of belongingness.
He added that we are determined to serve the society right from law and order issues to all other fronts. He also appealed to the children and locals to participate with CRPF in Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Swachhta Abhiyan and say ‘No-to-drugs’ campaign and fight against the drug abuse in the society.
A cultural programme presented by the school children added more attraction to the occasion.
