TEZU, Mar 29: As part of Poshan Pakhwada being celebrated at various Anganwadi centers (AWCs) of Tezu ICDS Project from March 20 to April 3, a recipe competition was conducted on Wednesday at the Tribal Colony AWC here in collaboration with the Deputy Director ICDS.
Gracing the event, Assistant Commissioner Himanshu Nigam encouraged the Anganwadi workers and helpers, pregnant and lactating women, and children present on the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits.
He also highlighted the benefits of millets and asked AWWs to create public awareness about the benefits of Govt schemes specially health insurance scheme, etc among the poor masses. He also distributed the prizes to the winners and planted a fruit sapling at the AWC compound. The block coordinator, ArSRLM also attended the programme. (DIPRO)
