ITANAGAR, May 25: A student of North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli has gone missing since Wednesday evening.
According to Naharlagun SDPO D Gumja, the missing boy has been identified as 19-year-old Aniket Datta Gupta of Assam’s Tinsukia district. He is a student of Computer Science Engineering.
The SDPO informed that a police team led by SI S Singh is looking into the case. “His call detail records (CDR) has been checked. Also, searches have been conducted in the Capital region. So far, there is no clue about his whereabouts but it has come to our knowledge that Rs 5000 was withdrawn from his bank account after he went missing. He has been missing from his hostel after some altercation with a teacher,” he further added.
