TAWANG, Jun 6: In an effort to assess the progress of ongoing development activities in twin districts, Principal Secretary (Agriculture Production) Sandeep Kumar and Koj Rinya, Secretary Horticulture, GoAP embarked on a tour to West Kameng and Tawang districts from 1st to 6th June.
They visited State Horticulture Farm, Shergaon, Govt Fishery Farm, Shergaon, Govt Horti Farm, Salari, RAN Dirang, Govt Dairy Farm, Warjong, Sheep Breeding Farm, Sangti, Govt Trout Farm at Nuranang, High altitude medicinal plantation at Manmagyalem and Taktsang, Regional Foundation Seed Potato Farm at Changbu, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tawang, State of Art Dairy Farm at Lemberdung, Walnut Plantation under ANPY at Khartoot, Potato Godown at Lemberdung, Solar fencing installation at Pamaghar village and Lumla.
They also interacted with PRI members, SHGs and individual beneficiaries regarding ongoing CSS and State plan schemes, in presence of officers of concerned departments and encouraged them for undertaking innovative ventures.
The HoDs of Agri and allied deptts briefed the visiting team about physical and financial progress of schemes.
The Principal Secretary emphasized on proper implementation of the schemes and timely utilization of funds. He further instructed field functionaries for constant visit to the farmer's field. (DIPRO)
