ITANAGAR, Jun 6: CSIR-North East Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat along with Branch Laboratory, Itanagar organized a one day training and demonstration program on ‘OP-12 Bio-fertilizer Production Technology and Entrepreneurship Development’ at CSIR-NEIST, Branch Itanagar, Naharlagun today.
About 50 participants including farmers, beneficiaries, entrepreneurs and students from different locations of Arunachal Pradesh attended the day-long programme.
Dr Chandan Tamuly, Sc In Charge, CSIR-NEIST, Br Itanagar, gave a brief introduction about the institute and talked about the objective of the programme and importance of the OP-12 Bio-fertilizer developed by CSIR-NEIST Jorhat.
Resource person - Jayanta J Bora, Chief Scientist, CSIR-NEIST Jorhat, delivered a talk on technical and scientific advantages of OP-12 Bio-fertilizer compared to other fertilizers.
Dr Ratul Saikia, Sr Principal Scientist of CSIR-NEIST Jorhat, demonstrated the process for production of OP-12 Bio-fertilizer and how to use it at the field level.
