ITANAGAR, Aug 26: In order to pay tribute to India’s freedom fighters, who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s Independence, a blood donation camp was organized here on Saturday in which an encouraging number of volunteers turned up “to give back to society by donating blood and preserving the legacy of these heroic individuals”.
The blood donation camp was organized jointly by Cygnett Inn Trendz, a renowned hospitality establishment, and Game Changers, a training institute of abacus and Vedic mathematics based at Itanagar in collaboration with the Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar. A team of experts along with doctors from the RKMH Blood Bank visited to ensure a seamless and safe blood donation process for all attendees.
Sharing his feelings of being a part of the noble cause, general manager of Cygnett Inn Trendz, Pushpendra Singh expressed, “Our freedom fighters displayed unparalleled courage and determination for the greater good of the nation. This blood donation camp allows us to pay homage to their legacy by coming together as responsible citizens and contributing to a cause that can save lives.”
With August being the month of memories for India’s freedom movement, Dr Sandip Banerjee of Game Changers said, “This blood donation camp is a humble way for us to remember and honour the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. It’s a chance for the community to come together and demonstrate the same spirit of selflessness that drove our heroes.”
A total of 35 people have voluntarily donated their blood at the camp. “By donating blood, participants not only contribute to the much-needed blood supply but also carry forward the legacy of selflessness and sacrifice exhibited by India’s freedom fighters,” stated a press release here.
