Libang launches blood donation camp at DH Roing, as part of Ayushman Bhava campaign

ROING, Sep 17: Health & Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang inaugurated a blood donation camp at the District Hospital, Roing in Lower Dibang Valley district today, organized as part of the Ayushman Bhava campaign.

The Minister was accompanied by Dambuk MLA Gum Tayeng, DC Soumya Saurabh and PRI members.

Addressing the doctors, nurses and staff of the Health department here, Libang advised all to work with a humanitarian spirit and not for accolades and praises. He added that all services provided under the Ayushman Bhava campaign should be done with ‘seva’ in mind, encompassing all the needy and deserving persons of the State.

He stressed on the need for all to take proper care of their health and get regular check ups and advised creating awareness amongst the public.

He spoke about the efforts of the government in elimination of diseases, steps taken by the state government to deal with the increasing number of drug addiction and AIDS cases with a targeted approach, which is being replicated in other parts of the country.

The Minister also appreciated the clean and hygienic environment of the District Hospital, Roing.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA requested the Minister to post the required number of doctors in the DH, CHCs and PHCs of the district.

In her speech, the DC advised all to work towards saturation of all health departmental schemes in the district.

DMO Dr Tajing Taki and MS Dr Mite Linggi also addressed the gathering. The team distributed fruits to patients, inspected the under construction new block of the DH and also inspected the services provided on the day. (DIPRO)
