ITANAGAR, Sep 17: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Arunachal Pradesh unit today celebrated the 73rd birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the specially abled children of Donyi Polo Mission School for the Hearing and Visually Impaired (DPMSHVI), Chimpu, near here.
The team led by State BJP president and Pakke Kessang MLA Biyuram Wahge, and comprising vice presidents T Siga & Nani Lajie, general secretaries - Zingnu Namchoom (Namsai MLA) and Tadar Niglar, all morcha heads and senior leaders among others visited the school.
The BJP leaders interacted with the children and shared their happiness and provided them sweets on the occasion.
An exhibition on the life history of PM Modi was inaugurated on the occasion.
Addressing the function, Wahge said: “Today is a special day and we are here to celebrate the birthday of our Prime Minister who has been our inspiration and he is not only our PM but in the passage of time he has become a world leader.”
“The people of the country have lots of aspirations and faith in him and as he is a role model and we have to learn many things from his life history, including his works during childhood, as a social worker, party leader, CM of Gujarat and Prime Minister from 2014 onwards,” he said.
He also informed the gathering of several achievements made for our country and we have to learn from his works and achievements. During the 'Sewa Pakhwara', BJP members and leaders are being involved in a slew of activities, including reaching out to people with the government's various achievements and also welfare activities like blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and health camps
Niglar gave a brief about PM Modi and his achievements. Lajie spoke on Seva Pakhwada and also briefed on several programmes being initiated from Sept 17 till October 2nd on the Gandhi Jayanti.
Niglar also said that the scheme like Diviyangjan Swavalamban Yojana is basically meant for disabled students who meet the eligibility criteria can get concessional loan upto Rs 50 lakh. He urged the School principal to initiate such project.
Further, School Principal H Sharma briefed the dignitaries on the problems and challenges facing the school and sought support from the state government and general public to run the school and hostel smoothly.
