ITANAGAR, Feb 12: Director General Border Roads (DGBR) Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan and Addl DGBR (East) PKH Singh on Monday met Chief Minister Pema Khandu to discuss pre-inaugural events of Sela Tunnel, road realignment, land acquisition and forest clearance issues of Arunachal Pradesh, Defence sources said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Khandu in a social media post wrote: “Discussed progress on strategic roads being made by Border Roads Organisation to enhance defense capabilities and border connectivity.”
During the meeting, Khandu also emphasized the use of modern technology in building infrastructure to minimize environmental impact in ecologically sensitive areas.
On Sunday, the DGBR along with the Addl DGBR (East) and CE Project Vartak team visited Sela Tunnel for pre-inaugural inspection of the Sela Tunnel, to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister soon.
