NAHARLAGUN, Feb 12: The officers and staff of the office of Controller, Department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs, GoAP, here on Monday condoled the demise of Assistant Controller, LM & CA, West Zone (Yupia), Amrit Taba, who breathed his last at his Vivek Vihar residence on Saturday.
Born on March 26, 1968, Amrit Taba joined the Govt service as Inspector (LM&CA) in November, 1991 and was promoted to Assistant Controller’s post in January, 2014. He was a very able officer and well acquainted in all subjects he dealt with. He was straight forward and very amiable to all, Controller Minte Siga said.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and two sons. In a condolence meeting, all the officers and staff members observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to late Taba. They also prayed to Almighty for eternal peace of the departed soul and to bestow enough strength and courage to the bereaved family to withstand the heavy loss at this hour of grief & sorrow.
