DC says teachers need to fulfill their responsibilities diligently

TEZU, Jun 10: Lohit district Deputy Commissioner Shashvat Saurabh has said that all teachers need to fulfill their duties and responsibilities diligently, strongly urging that no teacher should go on leave without permission.

Presiding over a coordination meeting with regard to the educational scenario of the district at DC’s conference hall here today, Saurabh said that coordination and cooperation of all the stakeholders is needed for improving the educational scenario of the district.

He further said it is important that the quality of education is improved and for that, there is a need to work on foundational literacy especially in primary education.

The DC also spoke on the need to improve the Board exam results in the coming years, while adding that not only Board exams but enhancing the overall quality of education should be our focus.

During the meeting, participated by all the stakeholders from the primary to higher secondary level including the representatives of the CBOs and students’ unions, it was decided that there should be coordination between different levels of the school education system from Anganwadi centre to higher secondary level so that the learning process becomes comprehensive and effective.

Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC (Tezu) Kunal Yadav, DDSE Tumngam Nyodu, CO Abraham Modi, and all heads of the schools. (DIPRO)
